This morning, I woke up feeling lost and confused by all of the circumstances out of my control. In a daze, I opened my Bible to Isaiah. From Isaiah, God led me to Hebrews. From Hebrews to James. And from James to Lamentations.
.
And during this time sojourning through scripture, God pressed one word upon my heart — a simple word I so desperately needed to remember.
.
Steadfast.
.
Even though we are living in times of great difficulty, God’s love for us never changes. When the world seems to be spinning out of control, we must remember that our God’s steadfast character is trustworthy.
.
You are so loved, dear friends. Let’s encourage each other through these uncertain times to stand firm in the faith and trust the perfect, steadfast nature of our Heavenly Father.
.
“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23 (ESV)
.
** I needed to remember this message so much that I wrote the word “steadfast” on my wrist this morning. Each time I begin doubting my circumstances, I can look at my wrist and remember to hold tight onto God’s steadfast character. **
Love, Macki ❤️
